Khoresht Ghaymeh or Gheimeh |iranian Meat and Split Yellow Peas Stew



This is a Persian dish. Very delicious and easy to make. I hope you enjoy this recipe. This dish is usually served with Safran rice.

Khoresht Ghaymeh or Gheimeh | Meat and Split Yellow Peas Stew | خورش قیمه | Persian Cuisine

Serve 4-6
350g Lamb,Beef or Chicken meat
1/2 Cup Split yellow peas
2 Medium Onions
3 Tablespoons Oil

1 Clove of Garlic
1/2 Teaspoon Ginger paste
2 Medium Tomatoes
1 Tablespoon Tomato paste
2 Dried Limes (Limo Amani) you can find it from Persian or Afghan grocery shops.
1 Teaspoon Rose water
3 Cups of water
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon Paprika Powder
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
Salt to taste

For the Chips you will need:
1 Large Potato or 2 Medium
1/42 Cup Oil
A Pinch of Turmeric powder
